Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lost and Found - Part 5\n Luke 15:7,10\n 06\/26\/2026\n\n\n 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in\n heaven over one sinner who repents than over\n ninety-nine righteous persons who need no\n repentance.\n 10 Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the\n angels of God over one sinner who repents.''\n (ESV)\n\n This week we have looked at the prayer of the Church in\n light of God's grace and mercy. As John Newton confessed in the\n hymn, ``Amazing Grace,'' ``I once was lost but now I am found.''\n O God, the protector of all who trust in You, without\n whom nothing is strong and nothing is holy, multiply\n Your mercy on us that, with You as our ruler and guide,\n we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not\n the things eternal.\n\n\n Because the Church is God's earthly agent, we also seek the\n lost. We hear Jesus' words: ``Just so, I tell you, there will be\n more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-\n nine righteous persons who need no repentance. Just so, I tell\n you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who\n repents,'' and rejoice over those who come to know the love of\n God.\n\n The Church is not for the self-righteous, for those who\n claim they are perfect. The Church is for the sinners who desire\n the peace of knowing God's grace. The Church is for those who\n long for the forgiveness earned by Christ Jesus as He suffered,\n died, and rose again.
