Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n He is Risen - Part 5\n Mark 16:8\n 04\/09\/2026\n\n\n 8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for\n trembling and astonishment had seized them, and\n they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.\n (ESV)\n\n The reaction of the women to the angelic message, ``Jesus is\n risen, He is not here,'' astonishes the modern Christian. ``And\n they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and\n astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone,\n for they were afraid.'' Yet is was a natural fear, for\n everything changed in an instant. Where the women expected\n death, there was life.\n\n Over the years the Church has prayed\n Almighty God the Father, through Your only-begotten\n Son, Jesus Christ, You have overcome death and opened\n the gate of everlasting life to us. Grant that we, who\n celebrate with joy the day of our Lord's resurrection,\n may be raised from the death of sin by Your life-giving\n Spirit.\n\n\n We believe the resurrection account, not only because the\n Bible is the true and inerrant Word of God, but because the Holy\n Spirit has given us faith which receives His gifts and trusts His\n Word. But too often our response to the resurrection mimics the\n response of the women, we flee and say nothing.\n\n Let's change this. At Trinity Lutheran Church we proclaim,\n publicly and clearly, that Jesus Christ died to pay the price of\n our sin and rose again to give to us eternal life. This word of\n truth sounds foolish in the ears of those who demand proof, but\n that does not mean that Jesus did not rise from the dead.\n\n We proclaim this on the airwaves, on our website, and each\n Sunday at 9:00 a.m. as we gather together at God's invitation to\n receive from Him His richest blessings.\n\n May our Lord grant us faith to accept the invitation to hear\n His Word for our eternal benefit.
