Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Judge Me, O God - Part 4\n John 8:51-55\n 03\/26\/2026\n\n\n 51 ``Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my\n word, he will never see death.''\n 52 The Jews said to him, ``Now we know that you have\n a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet\n you say, `If anyone keeps my word, he will never\n taste death.'\n 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?\n And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself\n out to be?''\n 54 Jesus answered, ``If I glorify myself, my glory is\n nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom\n you say, `He is our God.'\n 55 But you have not known him. I know him. If I were\n to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar\n like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.''\n (ESV)\n\n Last Sunday, which is called ``Judica Sunday'' because we\n desire that God judge us and declare us righteous, we prayed:\n Almighty God, by Your great goodness mercifully look\n upon Your people that we may be governed and preserved\n evermore in body and soul.\n\n\n As Christians, we agree that the truth of God's Word seems\n incredible. Our parents, our friends, our neighbors pass away.\n We can drive outside of town to visit their graves, even as we\n remember their lives. Yet, we confess that we have life\n everlasting in Christ Jesus. We will sleep the rest of temporal\n death, but are alive in Christ.\n\n If you are uncomfortable with this truth, you are not alone.\n The Jews with whom Jesus was debating had the same reaction.\n ``Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word,\n he will never see death.'' The Jews said to him, ``Now\n we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the\n prophets, yet you say, `If anyone keeps my word, he\n will never taste death.'
