Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Baptism of Our Lord - Part 5\n Matthew 28:18-20\n 01\/16\/2026\n\n\n 18 And Jesus came and said to them, ``All authority\n in heaven and on earth has been given to me.\n 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,\n baptizing them in the name of the Father and of\n the Son and of the Holy Spirit,\n 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded\n you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end\n of the age.'' (ESV)\n\n Last Sunday we prayed:\n Father in heaven, at the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan\n River You proclaimed Him Your beloved Son and anointed\n Him with the Holy Spirit. Make all who are baptized in\n His name faithful in their calling as Your children and\n inheritors with Him of everlasting life; through the\n same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and\n reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,\n\n\n The Church is God's gift to the world through which He gives\n the gift of the forgiveness of our sins. Where there is\n forgiveness, there is eternal life. His grace, love, and mercy\n is given to us through His Word and the sacraments which Jesus\n bestowed on the Church.\n\n After Jesus rose from the dead, and before He ascended into\n heaven, He met with His disciples.\n And Jesus came and said to them, ``All authority in\n heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore\n and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in\n the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy\n Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have\n commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the\n end of the age.''\n\n\n From that day until He returns in glory to judge both the\n living and the dead, the Church will proclaim the good news of\n salvation by administering the sacraments and proclaiming the\n Gospel.\n\n Please join us at Trinity Lutheran Church this Sunday at\n 9:00 a.m. to hear of God's mercy, to receive the peace of knowing\n your sins are forgiven for the sake of Christ Jesus.\n\n May our Lord grant us faith to trust in Him for the\n salvation of our souls.
