Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The End - Part 4\n Matthew 25:10-13\n 11\/28\/2025\n\n 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom\n came, and those who were ready went in with him to\n the marriage feast, and the door was shut.\n 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying,\n ``Lord, lord, open to us.''\n 12 But he answered, ``Truly, I say to you, I do not\n know you.''\n 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor\n the hour. (ESV)\n\n The traditional Gospel reading for the last week of the\n Church Year is the parable of the Ten Virgins. Five took oil for\n their lamps as they went out to meet the bridegroom. Five did\n not. When the bridegroom appeared, the five who had no oil\n realized their sad plight. Because the wise virgins were unable\n to share their oil, the foolish quickly left in an effort to\n obtain that which they lacked.\n\n And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came,\n and those who were ready went in with him to the\n marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the\n other virgins came also, saying, ``Lord, lord, open to\n us.'' But he answered, ``Truly, I say to you, I do not\n know you.'' Watch therefore, for you know neither the\n day nor the hour.\n\n\n We do not know the day or hour when the Bridegroom will\n arrive, nor do we know the day or hour when we will fall asleep.\n For some, today is the last opportunity to find the oil of faith.\n For others, that day is far in the future.\n\n Jesus' death and resurrection paid the price of each sin\n committed by each person. That gift of forgiveness is offered to\n you, not because of your good works, but because of God's love,\n grace, and mercy.
