Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Compassion - Part 4\n Mark 8:9\n 08\/07\/2025\n\n\n 9 And there were about four thousand people. And he\n sent them away. (ESV)\n\n Jesus had compassion on the hungry crowds. For three days\n the crowds had followed Jesus into the wilderness to hear Him\n proclaim the grace, love, and mercy of God. For three days,\n Jesus taught that the kingdom of Heaven is at hand. This kingdom\n is the love of God which caused the Father to send His only-\n begotten Son to pay the price of your sins and mine.\n\n These crowds had not expected to stay in the wilderness.\n Eventually their food ran out and they were hungry. There was no\n earthly way to feed the crowd in the wilderness. Jesus taught\n where there were no markets, no bakers from whom to purchase\n bread, no fishermen from whom to purchase fish.\n\n Yet the crowd desired to stay and listen to Jesus rather\n than leave when their provisions were exhausted. They acted\n according to Jesus' words, ``Seek first the kingdom of God and\n His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto\n you.''[1]\n\n Each day, maybe several times a day, when we pray the prayer\n given to us by Jesus, we ask, ``Give us this day our daily\n bread.'' We fear, love, and trust in God to provide all we need\n to sustain this body and life. Even when tragedy strikes, be it\n fire or flood or storm, God provides for our physical needs.\n When the sorrows and troubles of life overwhelm us, He provides\n for our spiritual comfort.\n\n ``And there were about four thousand people.
