Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ask in My Name - Part 5\n John 16:23-24\n 05\/30\/2025\n\n\n 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly,\n truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the\n Father in my name, he will give it to you.\n 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask,\n and you will receive, that your joy may be full.\n (ESV)\n\n [Jesus said:] In that day you will ask nothing of me.\n Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the\n Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now\n you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will\n receive, that your joy may be full.\n\n\n We are looking at the five aspects of true prayer. First,\n we must trust in God's promise to hear our prayer. Second, we\n pray is faith knowing that God keeps His promises. Third, we\n pray for specific things, something we definitely name. Fourth,\n we must truly desire that the petition be granted. Finally, we\n ask for all things in the name of Jesus Christ.\n\n We are reconciled to the Father by the suffering, death, and\n resurrection of Jesus. Only by the blood of Jesus can we come\n into our heavenly Father's presence with our petitions, with our\n praise, and with our thanksgiving. Without Jesus, we flee from\n God, ashamed and afraid. Joined with Jesus through the Word and\n Sacraments, we are bold to pray, to come into God's presence at\n His invitation.\n\n Our Lord Jesus Christ has ascended into heaven where He sits\n at the right hand of the Father. While we await His return, and\n gather to listen to His Word, and to receive the blessings given\n through the Sacraments He has given the Church.
