Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Holy Week - Holy Tuesday\n Matthew 24:1-2\n 04\/15\/2025\n\n\n 1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his\n disciples came to point out to him the buildings\n of the temple.\n 2 But he answered them, ``You see all these, do you\n not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left\n here one stone upon another that will not be\n thrown down.'' (ESV)\n\n In the days following Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, He and\n His disciples spent many hours in the Temple. On Monday Jesus\n drove the money-changers out of the Temple, saying, ``It is\n written, `My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you\n make it a den of robbers'''[1]\n\n On Tuesday, Jesus again was teaching in the Temple, even as\n the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees were trying to catch\n Him in a contest of words. Time and again these rulers asked\n impossible questions which had no correct answer, but Jesus\n avoided the verbal traps.\n\n Matthew recorded:\n Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his\n disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the\n temple. But he answered them, ``You see all these, do\n you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left\n here one stone upon another that will not be thrown\n down.''\n\n\n There, while resting on the Mount of Olives, Jesus spoke of\n the destruction of Jerusalem, which happened in 70 A.D. He also\n told of the signs of the end times, signs which certainly seem to\n be coming true even today. However, Jesus warned the disciples:\n ``But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the\n angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.''[2]\n\n May our Lord find us ready, believing the words He spoke to\n His disciples, as we await for His return.
