Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Healing - Part 5\n Matthew 8:10-13\n 01\/31\/2025\n\n\n 10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to\n those who followed him, ``Truly, I tell you, with\n no one in Israel have I found such faith.\n 11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and\n recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in\n the kingdom of heaven,\n 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into\n the outer darkness. In that place there will be\n weeping and gnashing of teeth.''\n 13 And to the centurion Jesus said, ``Go; let it be\n done for you as you have believed. And the servant\n was healed at that very moment.'' (ESV)\n\n While Jesus was entering Capernaum, a centurion prayed for\n his paralyzed servant. The soldier confessed his faith that\n Jesus could heal with just a word, for Jesus has authority over\n all things. Matthew continued the story:\n When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those\n who followed him, ``Truly, I tell you, with no one in\n Israel have I found such faith. I tell you, many will\n come from east and west and recline at table with\n Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,\n while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the\n outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping\n and gnashing of teeth.'' And to the centurion Jesus\n said, ``Go; let it be done for you as you have\n believed. And the servant was healed at that very\n moment.''\n\n\n Jesus came to redeem all people, Jews and Gentiles alike.\n He made no distinction. He praised people who demonstrated faith\n and understanding, commending them for their trust in God.\n\n Jesus comes today to heal our broken lives, to bring us the\n hope of forgiveness, the assurance of God's love. When you join\n us at Trinity Lutheran Church each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.,\n you will come to understand the peace which comes from knowing\n Jesus has paid the price of our sin.\n\n Our goal at Trinity is to proclaim the truth that our\n freedom from eternal condemnation for our sins is a gift, given\n to us for the sake of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.\n\n May our Lord open our hearts to receive this gift, to trust\n in Him, and to receive the healing of our souls.
