Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n From Everlasting to Everlasting - Part 2\n Psalm 90:3-6\n 12\/31\/2024\n\n\n 3 You return man to dust and say, Return, O children\n of man!\n 4 For a thousand years in your sight are but as\n yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the\n night.\n 5 You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like\n a dream, like grass that is renewed in the\n morning:\n 6 in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in\n the evening it fades and withers. (ESV)\n\n This week, as we ponder the year in review, we hear the Word\n of God as given through Moses. Psalm 90 speaks of God's\n creation, power, and might. It speaks of our rebellion, our sin,\n and the curse of our transgressions.\n\n You return man to dust and say, Return, O children of\n man! For a thousand years in your sight are but as\n yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.\n You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a\n dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: in\n the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the\n evening it fades and withers.\n\n\n This year, as we learned of the passing of various famous\n people such as Teri Garr, James Earl Jones, Bob Newhart, and Phil\n Donahue, we were made aware of our own mortality. While some\n would suggest that we eat, drink, and be merry, we rather should\n look at the cause of our short life span and prepare for\n eternity.\n\n We prepare by acknowledging our Creator, admitting that His\n justice is fair, and trusting in His grace and mercy. Our help\n is in the Name of the Lord, our Redeemer from sin, death, and the\n power of the devil is Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of the\n Father.\n\n May our Lord grant us faith to hear His Word, to believe\n that which we learn from the pages of Scripture, and to trust\n only in Him.
