Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Serve the LORD - Part 5\n Deuteronomy 10:12-13\n 10\/04\/2024\n\n\n 12 And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God\n require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to\n walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the\n LORD\n 13 your God with all your heart and with all your\n soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of\n the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your\n good? (ESV)\n\n This week we have been looking at Moses' final words to the\n children of Israel.\n And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of\n you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his\n ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all\n your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the\n commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am\n commanding you today for your good?\n\n\n There were four questions we asked: What is a god? Who is\n your god? Who is the Triune God? Why should we serve Him?\n\n The last question, how do we serve Him? Moses gives us the\n answer, that we should love Him with our whole heart and soul.\n We trust in Him in stead of our own strength, instead of our\n wealth, instead of our social standing.\n\n What is the outcome of that trust in the LORD God? We\n believe His Word, know of His grace, and are assured of life\n everlasting because the Son of God bore the guilt of our sin.\n The result of loving the Lord is our desire to serve Him by\n serving our neighbor. The commandments which God gave to Moses\n instruct us on how we love God and each other, what it means to\n serve Him.\n\n I hope that this week's discussion as caused you to ask some\n questions, to want some answers.
