Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Warning -- Part 5\n Jeremiah 8:12\n 08\/09\/2024\n\n\n 12 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination?\n No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not\n know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall\n among the fallen; when I punish them, they shall\n be overthrown, says the LORD. (ESV)\n\n This week we have been looking at the parallels between the\n modern United States and the ancient nation of Judah in the years\n leading to the Babylonian Captivity. What once were nations\n built on the truth of God's Word had now abandoned Him for the\n lies of the world. Jeremiah called for Judah and Jerusalem to\n confess their sins, to repent, and to turn to God. That is also\n the call for the Christian Church, and has been since the day\n that Christ Jesus rose from the dead.\n\n Jeremiah, speaking as commanded by God, said:\n Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No,\n they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to\n blush. Therefore they shall fall among the fallen;\n when I punish them, they shall be overthrown, says the\n LORD.\n\n\n Is this our fate? Can we turn from the false idols of this\n world, repent, and acknowledge the love, grace, and mercy of our\n Creator?
