Broadcast<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Who is Like the LORD? -- Part 5\n Micah 7:18-20\n 06\/21\/2024\n\n\n 18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and\n passing over transgression for the remnant of his\n inheritance? He does not retain his anger\n forever, because he delights in steadfast love.\n 19 He will again have compassion on us; he will tread\n our iniquities under foot. You will cast all our\n sins into the depths of the sea.\n 20 You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast\n love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers\n from the days of old. (ESV)\n\n This week we have been looking at the last three verses of\n the book of Micah, one of the minor prophets in the Old\n Testament. It is Micah who foretold the birthplace of Jesus,\n and, like Isaiah, who lived at the same time, foretold the\n destruction of Jerusalem. The final words in the book of Micah\n bring the complete joy of God's rich grace, His undeserved love\n for His creation. Micah proclaims the forgiveness of sins and\n foreshadows the sacrament of Baptism by which the Holy Spirit\n calls us into faith in Christ Jesus.\n\n Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing\n over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance?\n He does not retain his anger forever, because he\n delights in steadfast love.\n\n He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our\n iniquities under foot.
