(ESV)\n\n        Last Sunday the Church celebrated God's gift of the Holy\n   Spirit as we remembered the sound of the rushing wind, the\n   tongues of fire, and the disciples speaking in languages which\n   they had never had the opportunity to learn.  The message of\n   salvation from sin, death, and the power of the devil because of\n   the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is for all people.\n\n        At the tower of Babel the Lord caused work to cease as\n   communication became impossible.  ``Therefore its name was called\n   Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the\n   earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of\n   all the earth.''  By confusing the languages, the descendants of\n   Noah were forced to do that which God commanded, namely subdue\n   and fill the earth, properly using the resources He had created\n   for the good of all people.\n\n        On Pentecost, the many nations and language groups are\n   joined together with the common message of God's rich grace and\n   mercy.  Although the pilgrims in Jerusalem for the Feast of Weeks\n   came from all over the world, the Gospel was the same for all\n   people.\n        For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,\n        that whoever believes in him should not perish but have\n        eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the\n        world to condemn the world, but in order that the world\n        might be saved through him.&#91;3]\n\n\n        Please join us at Trinity Lutheran Church at 9:00 a.m. on\n   Sunday to hear more of this good news of God's grace and mercy.\n   May our Lord continue to bless you.
