(ESV)\n\n        Today is the Feast of the Presentation, forty days after\n   Christmas, when we commemorate Jesus being presented to the Lord\n   in the Temple.\n        And when the time came for their purification according\n        to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem\n        to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law\n        of the Lord, ``Every male who first opens the womb\n        shall be called holy to the Lord'') and to offer a\n        sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the\n        Lord, a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.\n\n\n        This Feast is another reminder of the awesome responsibility\n   God gives parents to raise their children in keeping with God's\n   holy Law.  This includes having children baptized, taking them to\n   church, teaching them the Christian faith, and encouraging them\n   to grow in love towards God.\n\n        Today also is a reminder of the theme of the Epiphany\n   Season, Jesus Christ is the Light of the World, the Light no\n   darkness can overcome.  He is revealed in the Temple as the\n   promised Messiah, the Son of God who will take upon Himself the\n   sins of the world.\n\n        There are many traditions associated with this day.
